Peter Barwis is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in data analytics and statistical analysis, currently serving as Principal Data Scientist at Capture Higher Ed since September 2015. In this role, Peter leads data science initiatives, manages a team, and develops sophisticated predictive models. Previously, Peter held various positions at Capture Higher Ed, including Senior Data Scientist and Associate Data Scientist, focusing on machine learning applications and project implementation. As the founder and CEO of Third Coast Analytics, Peter developed analytic products for college admissions. An academic background includes a PhD in Sociology from the University of Notre Dame, complemented by roles as a Research Analyst, Teaching Assistant, and Statistician, showcasing a robust intersection of research and practical data application.
