Sarah Laun PhD has a progressive work experience starting in 2003 as a Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB). Sarah then became a Graduate Student Research Assistant in 2004 while pursuing their PhD, which they obtained in 2010. Following their studies, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UMB until 2015. From 2015 to 2018, Sarah served as the Lab and Program Manager at the Baltimore Under Ground Science Space (BUGSS). Sarah then joined the Translational Research Lab at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore as a Lab Manager from 2018 to 2020. Sarah continued their career at Avoneaux Medical Institute as a Senior Research Scientist from 2020 to 2021. In 2021, they joined inLUCEO Biosciences Inc. as the Director of Research and Development until July 2022. Currently, Sarah holds the position of VP of Research and Development at Previse, starting in July 2022.

Sarah Laun completed their Bachelor's Degree in Biology with a concentration in Microbiology and a minor in Chemistry from Towson University from 2001 to 2003. Sarah then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland School of Medicine from 2004 to 2010.
