Matthew Bowyer is an experienced professional in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as Technical Director and New Ventures Manager at Capricorn Energy PLC since November 2020. Prior roles include Exploration Manager for West Africa and Mexico at Cairn Energy from July 2017 to November 2020, as well as Exploration Manager and Lead Explorationist at Sterling Energy Plc from March 2012 to June 2017. Matthew's expertise extends to managing exploration strategies in various regions, having held positions such as Exploration Manager at Melrose Resources Plc and Group Reserves Manager at Perenco. With a background that includes significant geological roles at Perenco and PGS Reservoir, Matthew's educational credentials include an MSc in Basin Evolution & Dynamics, Petroleum Geology from Royal Holloway, University of London.
