Mark Sturrock is an accomplished cybersecurity and IT risk management professional with extensive experience in the financial services sector. Currently serving as the Head of Cyber Security at Capitec Bank since June 2022, Mark has previously held significant roles at Absa Group, including Lead Engineer: Cloud and Head of Cloud Security. Mark's expertise also includes leadership positions at MMI Holdings Limited and Metropolitan Retail, overseeing technology enablement and IT operations management. Mark's foundational experience in information risk management was gained at KPMG South Africa, where Mark managed the Information Risk Management Department. Mark holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management with a focus on Information Risk Management and a Bachelor of Commerce in Information Systems, both from the University of Cape Town.
