Kevin Turner, P.Eng, has extensive work experience in the field of engineering. Kevin is currently employed as a Sr. Instrumentation & Controls Engineer at Capital Power since 2022.

Prior to their current role, Kevin worked at Prime Engineering Ltd. from 2015 to 2022. Kevin held multiple positions during their tenure, including Controls Engineering Manager, Controls Coordinator, and Controls Engineer. In these roles, they were responsible for programming PLCs, designing and programming HMIs and SCADA system software and hardware, as well as conducting on-site commissioning and testing of control systems.

Before joining Prime Engineering Ltd., Kevin worked as a Systems Engineer at Reach Technologies Inc. from 2012 to 2015, and as a Test Engineer Co-op at Schneider Electric in 2012.

Kevin started their career at Contech Enterprises Inc. in 2011, where they worked as an Electrical Engineer Co-op. Prior to that, they worked as an Assembly/Service Technician at StarFish Medical from 2005 to 2011.

Overall, Kevin Turner, P.Eng's work experience demonstrates their proficiency in instrumentation and controls engineering, as well as their expertise in programming PLCs, designing HMIs and SCADA systems, and conducting on-site commissioning and testing of control systems.

Kevin Turner, P.Eng obtained a Diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology from Camosun College, where they studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering from 2007 to 2010. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Victoria, completing their degree in 2013. In addition to their academic qualifications, Kevin Turner holds the Professional Engineer (P.Eng) certification from the Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
