Nassima (Sima) Bouzid, PhD, is a Data Scientist at Invitae since September 2019, demonstrating effective communication skills tailored to diverse audiences. Previously served as a Senior Billing Analyst, mentoring machine learning interns in data storytelling. Bouzid's experience includes roles as a Software Engineer at Jewel ML and a Recommender Systems Consultant at Insight Data Science. Significant accomplishments include developing KibbleCurator, a dog food recommendation web application, and conducting a longitudinal study on gene-by-environment interactions during a Graduate Research Fellowship at the National Science Foundation, which uncovered significant genetic differences among lizards. Bouzid has also held positions at the Museum of Vertebrate Zoology and the California Academy of Sciences, and completed a PhD in Biology at the University of Washington, following a Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley.
