Alex Berkhout is a Senior Tax Manager at de Jong & Laan since November 1998, with extensive experience in tax consultancy and corporate trust services. Alex served as a Guest Lecturer at the University of Mississippi School of Law from 2014 to 2023, presenting on cross-border aircraft leasing taxation in the Netherlands. As Chairman of the Nexia Netherlands International Tax Law Specialist Group from 2018 to 2022, Alex contributed to the field of international tax law. Prior roles include Director at N/A/K corporate trust services, Tax Partner at Berkhout & Partners Tax Consultants, and Tax Consultant at various firms, including Koopman & Partners and KPMG Meijburg & Co. Alex holds a Master’s degree in Tax Law from the University of Amsterdam and has pursued additional education in international aviation financing and governance.
