Kuwilileni Hauwanga currently serves as the Deputy Director of Audience and Innovation at Capital B since September 2024. Prior to this role, Kuwilileni was the Director of Multimedia Storytelling at The Brookings Institution, where responsibilities included developing podcasts and videos based on scholarly research and leading a production team. Kuwilileni also held the position of Director of Video at IndieWire, managing content for high-profile sponsors and implementing new production workflows. As Senior Managing Producer at Insider, Kuwilileni grew the company's YouTube audience significantly and managed a diverse production team. Kuwilileni began the career as a Junior Video Producer at BuzzFeed, producing content addressing various social issues and contributing to major projects such as the launch of the beauty brand As/Is.
