Silken Handford-Perronnet

Community Training Coordinator at Canucks Autism Network

Silken Handford-Perronnet is a Community Training Coordinator at the Canucks Autism Network since July 2022, focusing on promoting understanding, acceptance, and inclusion of individuals on the autism spectrum through various community services. Prior experience includes serving as an Administrative Assistant at The University of British Columbia, where responsibilities involved managing the Director's calendar and financial documentation from August 2019 to July 2022. Additionally, Silken worked as a Researcher for the Vancouver Maritime Museum, contributing to a digital exhibition, and gained experience in the museum sector as a Museum Attendant at the Museum of Anthropology at UBC. Other roles include a Research Practicum Student at Urban Ink, Research Assistant positions for The Power of a Name and the First Nations and Endangered Languages Program. Silken holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Gender Race Sexuality and Social Justice and First Nations and Indigenous Studies from The University of British Columbia (2013-2019).
