James Riby-Yankah has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. James is currently employed as a Mechanical Engineer - Hardware at Canopy, a collaborative project by Ford Next Ventures and ADT that focuses on artificial intelligence vehicle security. Prior to this, James worked as a Product Engineering Specialist at Ocado Engineering from February 2020 to May 2022. Before that, they served as a Module Leader, Engine Pumps at Jaguar Land Rover from February 2018 to February 2020. James also has experience working at The Pump Company as an External Application Engineer from September 2015 to January 2018, and as a Graduate Application Engineer from October 2013 to September 2015. James began their professional journey as an Assistant Maintenance Engineer at Peugeot in July 2007, where they gained hands-on experience in car servicing and repairs.

James Riby-Yankah BEng IMechE completed their education in a chronological manner. From 2008 to 2010, they attended Richmond College, where they pursued a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, they enrolled at De Montfort University from 2010 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
