Victoria Edwards, MSW, currently serves as a Research Project Coordinator at the Cannabis Control Commission and has been active in various roles since October 2022, including law student with the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association and a member of the Black Economic Council of Massachusetts, Inc. Victoria co-founded the Hempstead Alumni Association in March 2020, promoting mentorship, scholarships, and networking for students. Previous experience includes serving as a Post Secondary Associate at LEAP for Education, where responsibilities included advising a youth leadership council. Victoria has also held roles at NASW, the New York State Senate, and the Family and Children's Association, focusing on social services, advocacy, and community engagement. Victoria holds a Master's degree in Social Work from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from the State University of New York at Albany, with ongoing studies for a Master's in Legal Studies at Northeastern University School of Law.
