Roger Sjösten has worked as a Mechanical Engineer since 2016, beginning their career at Atlas Copco before joining Berotec in 2007. In 2016, they began working for Orbishaft AB and Bioteria, both as a Mechanical Engineer and Technical Project Manager. From 2020-2022, they worked at Topick AB, Cascade Drives AB, and Candela as a Mechanical Engineer. In 2021, they began working at Envirotainer as a Mechanical Engineer. Additionally, in 2013 they authored a book for the Swedish Swimming Federation titled "Teknik för unga vattenpolospelare".

Roger Sjösten attended Blekinge Institute of Technology from 1997 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
