Adam Kibel

Scientific Advisor at Candel Therapeutics

Dr. Adam Kibel serves as the Chief of Urology for the Brigham and Women’s Hospital as well as Chairman of the Harvard Urology Residency (Longwood). His practice encompasses complex open and minimally invasive oncology cases. A large portion of his practice is centered on robotic surgery for urologic cancers. From a research perspective, he is interested in elucidating the molecular basis of prostate cancer aggressiveness.

Dr. Kibel graduated from Cornell University School of Medicine, completed his residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and a fellowship at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Kibel has authored more than 250 peer-reviewed publications. In both his practice and research, he focuses on minimally invasive techniques to treat urologic cancers, including improved imaging and identification of molecular markers of urologic tumors. Dr. Kibel received two awards in 2019: the Boston Magazine Top Doctor and Castle Connolly America’s Top Doctors.
