Deepa Allchin (MCIPD) is an experienced Human Resources professional with a substantial background in various leadership roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as the Head of Human Resources at Cancer Research UK since November 2021, Deepa previously held positions including Senior Human Resources Business Partner at River Island and Head of Human Resources at Debenhams, overseeing key divisions such as Employee Relations, Supply Chain, and IT. Deepa's experience extends to significant roles at Presdales and John Lewis & Partners, focusing on transformational HR projects and talent management. Deepa also contributed to educational governance as a School Governor at Presdales, where an employee satisfaction survey was successfully launched. Deepa began the HR career at Marks and Spencer and holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and HR management from the University of Greenwich.
