John Murray is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the maritime and transportation sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Canaveral Port Authority since February 2016, Murray previously held the position of President & CEO at Hapag-Lloyd USA, LLC from September 2006 to January 2016, where the company specialized in container transportation services for US Government clients. Other leadership roles include President and CEO of Lykes Lines Limited, LLC from 2000 to 2006, Vice President at CP Ships from 1997 to 2005, and various management roles at Lykes Bros. Steamship Co., Inc. between 1979 and 1997. John Murray holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nautical Science from Maine Maritime Academy, obtained in 1979.
