Kimalee Phillip possesses extensive experience in human rights advocacy and program coordination, currently serving as the Director of Human Rights at the Canadian Union of Public Employees since May 2016. With a strong focus on equality issues, particularly regarding gender, LGBTQI, and racial justice, Kimalee analyzes legislation and conducts research to support national campaigns. Previous roles include Program Coordinator at the Association for Women's Rights in Development, Resource Coordinator at York University Graduate Students' Association, and various consulting positions aimed at addressing economic justice and community development. Kimalee's academic credentials include a Master's in Arts (Legal Studies) from Carleton University and a postgraduate certificate in Nonprofit & Voluntary Sector Management from Ryerson University.
