Angella MacEwen

Angella MacEwen is a seasoned economist currently serving as a Senior Economist at the Canadian Union of Public Employees since September 2018, where responsibilities include monitoring and analyzing key economic trends and providing quantitative research support. MacEwen also holds a position as a Research Associate at the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives since November 2005, contributing to policy analysis and notable publications such as "Cost of Poverty in Nova Scotia." Previously, MacEwen worked as a Senior Economist at the Canadian Labour Congress and as a Development Economist at the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture. Additionally, MacEwen has experience in the Royal Canadian Naval Reserves, serving in various roles from 1992 to 2006, and held a position as a Technical Writer and Trainer at Anthony Macauley Associates.
