Shamoun Faruqi, M.Eng, P.Eng, is an experienced Facilities & Process Engineer currently employed at Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) since November 2014, where responsibilities include optimizing operations for a 40,000 bpd Heavy Oil SAGD facility and developing key performance indicators. Prior to this role, Shamoun worked as a Facilities Engineer at ATCO Energy Solutions, managing projects for the Empress Gas Liquids Joint Venture and evaluating technical proposals for the Edmonton Ethane Extraction Plant. Earlier experience includes serving as a Process Engineer at BP, focusing on engineering design for upstream oil and gas production projects. Shamoun holds a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Ryerson University.
