Sajjad Roosta, P.Eng., M.Sc., is a Senior Process Safety Engineer specializing in functional safety at Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) since 2018. With a strong background in process safety and engineering, Sajjad has led projects and reviewed critical safety reports, ensuring the safety and operability of processes in the Horizon Oil Sands operations. Prior to CNRL, experience includes roles as Process Safety Lead and Engineer at PMO Global Services, where project coordination and engineering for oil sands and processing plants were key responsibilities. Sajjad's engineering expertise is further supported by a comprehensive history in process design and safety from previous positions at Tiv Energy, PGJ/PGC Co., and Naftkav Engineering Services Co. Educational credentials include a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tehran.
