Attila Farkas is a seasoned professional in health information technology, currently serving as the Senior Director of the Interoperability Product Portfolio at Canada Health Infoway since August 2011. In this role, Attila is responsible for developing the interoperability framework to support Canada's Shared pan-Canadian Interoperability Roadmap. Previous positions include Senior Director of Solution Management and Advisory Services, where Attila managed the implementation of the International Patient Summary in Canada, and Technical Director for the ACCESS Health program, focusing on innovative cloud platform design. Attila has a solid foundation in engineering and management, having held key roles in various organizations such as Merge Healthcare and Cedara Software, demonstrating a commitment to advancing health IT standards and interoperability solutions. Educational credentials include an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Universitatea „Politehnica” din Timișoara and project management training from Sheridan College. Currently, Attila serves as a Board Member for IHE International, representing the Canadian National Deployment Committee.
