Sean Devine is a seasoned professional in Canadian theatre and arts management, currently serving as a Program Officer for Explore & Create (Theatre) at the Canada Council for the Arts since July 2017. As a co-founder and Artistic Executive Director of Horseshoes & Hand Grenades Theatre, Sean has led the organization to national acclaim, achieving multiple award nominations and wins. With extensive experience in grant writing and consulting for various non-profits, Sean has successfully raised over $1,000,000, including significant contributions through diverse funding sources. Additional roles include Festival Manager for the City of Bhangra Festival, Interim Company Manager at Salamander Theatre, and involvement in political campaigning as a federal candidate for the NDP. Sean's background is complemented by education at the National Theatre School of Canada and Marianopolis College, establishing a solid foundation in theatre and social sciences.
