Carolyn Warren is an accomplished arts professional with extensive experience in leadership roles within the cultural sector. Currently serving as Director General of Arts Granting Programs at the Canada Council for the Arts since October 2017, Carolyn Warren is responsible for strategic initiatives that enhance the production and accessibility of the arts across Canada. Previously, Carolyn Warren held positions such as Vice President of Arts Programs and Senior Arts Advisor at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, where key contributions included the organization of significant cultural events and the expansion of Indigenous arts programming. Carolyn Warren has also worked with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in various capacities, including Regional Manager and Executive Producer, focusing on cultural programming. Carolyn Warren holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and is currently pursuing a course in Executive Not for Profit Strategic Planning at Stanford.
