Samantha Hamel, MPH, possesses a strong background in public health with a focus on HIV, STI programs, and behavioral health. Currently serving as the Ryan White Program Coordinator at CAN Community Health since May 2021, Samantha has also held roles as a Ryan White Support Specialist and Eligibility Specialist within the organization. Previous experience includes a fellowship at the North East Florida Healthy Youth Alliance and an academic coaching position at the University of North Florida. Samantha began working in public health as an intern with the Florida Department of Health in Duval County, concentrating on congenital syphilis. Additional roles include Patient Access Specialist at Baptist Health and various positions at MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCE CENTER INC. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Health with a focus on Social and Behavioral Science and a Bachelor of Health Science from the University of North Florida, along with an Associate of Arts from Florida State College at Jacksonville.
