Matt Hils has extensive experience in the power generation industry, currently serving as a Principal Maintenance Technician at CAMS since February 2017, where responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing complex control systems. Prior roles at CAMS include Principal Control Room Operator, overseeing the operation of a 1200MW Combined Cycle power plant, and Senior Equipment Operator, addressing instrumentation and environmental system anomalies. Before CAMS, Matt Hils worked at American Electric Power as a Water Treatment Operator, managing the daily operations of a water treatment facility, and at General Electric as a Data System Operator (Co-op), focused on testing and monitoring for combustion turbines. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Energy Management from Bismarck State College and an Associate of Applied Science in Power System Engineering Technology from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College.
