J Shannon Chamberlin, PhD, serves as a Research Fellow at Campus Compact since June 2015, focusing on a meta-research review of competencies for Community Engaged Professionals in higher education with an emphasis on faculty development. As a Teacher Consultant at the Little Rock Writing Project since July 2008, J Shannon Chamberlin conducts professional development training related to writing instruction. Previous roles include Adjunct Instructor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (2003-2009), Counselor-Social Worker at the Family Service Agency (1974-1977), and Director of a Manpower program (1972-1974) where J Shannon Chamberlin significantly expanded job training initiatives. J Shannon Chamberlin began a career as an elementary school classroom teacher in various states from 1966 to 1972. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Education from Walden University and an M.A. in Counseling from the Pacific School of Religion.
