Jerry Kelly is the Chief Technology Officer for the DAS Group of Companies (DAS), a Division of Omnicom Group (NYSE:OMC). He sets IT strategy and execution for DAS agencies in their technology investments. Digital transformation, automation, cloud, security, training, and analytics are critical areas of focus right now, as well as the rapid transition of 20,000 global employees to a work from home model during the Covid-19 crisis. New tools and training were launched to accommodate the shift and new security technologies to protect agency and client data.
Jerry has been a part of the Omnicom family for over 16 years. Starting his career as VP of IT and progressing to North American CIO of DAS. He then led the creation of a new 460 employee internal shared services IT company at DAS called CDS, first as Chief Operating Officer, and later as Chief Executive Officer. At CDS, Jerry completed the design and build of three global private data centers, the onboarding over 125 DAS agencies (5,000+ servers) into the new consolidated environment. He led the design and build of a secure and globally redundant wide area network, the creation of a world-class cybersecurity program, and the consolidation of 45,000+ email accounts to Microsoft Office 365. Further, he created and launched CDS University to allow all CDS staff to take technology courses to further their skills and earn certifications in the technology of their choosing.
Before DAS, Jerry was a software and database architect designing and building custom enterprise software solutions for both companies and government agencies. He did this work at his own company, maxQ Consulting Group, at Financial Modeling Specialists, and before that at Booz Allen & Hamilton. In 2019, Jerry completed his Master’s in Business Administration at William & Mary’s Raymond A. Mason School of Business and was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma.
