Karen S. Halpern has been a member of the Camden County College Board of Trustees since 2013. She previously served as the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Counseling Resource Center, LLC while additionally offering services as an individual and family therapist at the Samost Jewish Family & Children’s Services of Southern New Jersey. To date, Ms. Halpern remains in private practice as a professional counselor.
Ms. Halpern’s prior civic pursuits include previously serving as both the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees for the South Jersey Behavioral Health System, as well as a member of the Board of Trustees for Planned Parenthood of Southern New Jersey.
Ms. Halpern obtained a Master of Arts in Counseling from Seton Hall University, a Master of Public Administration in Health Care Administration from New York University, and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and Mathematics from New York University.
