Dr. Christian Steinruecken is a member of the Machine Learning Group at the Department of Engineering, and associate faculty at the Cambridge ELLIS unit. He received his Ph.D. from the Cavendish Laboratory under the supervision of Prof Sir David J.C. MacKay. Christian is the CTO and co-founder of Invenia Labs, a company specializing in optimization and machine learning for large-scale environmental applications.

Christian is a technical and strategic advisor to several companies, including start-ups in Cambridge and London.
