Aftab Ali has a diverse work experience that includes roles in both accounting and technology. From 2012 onwards, Aftab worked at Cambridge Healthcare Services, LLC, starting as an Accounting Manager. In this role, they were responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements for multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities. Aftab also handled journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations. Aftab later transitioned into the role of Financial Analyst, where they developed accounting policies and procedures, reviewed journal entries and general ledger reconciliations, and analyzed financial data to recommend improvements in systems and financial performance.

Before Cambridge Healthcare Services, Aftab Ali co-owned and founded Smart Digital Technologies in 1997. Aftab played a key role in establishing and managing the company until 2008.

Aftab Ali's education history starts in 1990 when they earned an Associate's degree in Biology, General from Chaffey College. Aftab then pursued further education and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Natural Sciences from California State University, Fullerton from 1992 to 1996. Aftab later pursued higher education and received a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Accounting and Finance from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University from 2008 to 2009.
