Frances Metcalfe is a seasoned professional in biotechnology and product development, currently serving as the Senior Vice President - Global BioTechnology at Cambridge Consultants since 2006. Metcalfe has extensive experience in commercial strategy, marketing, and business development, having held several leadership roles including Head of Commercial for the Industrial, Consumer and Energy Business Unit, where responsibilities included commercial activity and sales performance. Previous positions include Associate Director and Group Leader focusing on multidisciplinary product development, as well as project management roles at TTP LabTech and TTP Group, where Metcalfe led technology-based product development for life sciences. Early career experience includes senior consultant positions and product development for optical and analytical systems. Frances Metcalfe holds a DPhil in Experimental Physics from the University of Sussex and a BSc in Physics from the same institution.
