Charles Gale is a seasoned professional in the wood products and mass timber industries, currently serving as the Director of Mass Timber at Cambium since July 2024. Prior to this role, Charles worked as a Strategic Business Analyst at SmartLam North America from September 2019 to July 2024, where contributions included implementing advanced CRM/ERP solutions and managing over 300 mass timber projects. As the Principal Owner of Doug Fir Consulting LLC from August 2017 to September 2019, Charles provided services and analysis for the industry. Earlier experience includes positions with Stimson Lumber as a Sales and Operations Planner and Manufacturing Business Analyst, and with the U.S. Forest Service as a Forest Technician. Charles began a career in the field as a Forest Research Associate at the Bureau of Business and Economic Research and was involved in revitalizing Montana's wood product industry as a Forestry Intern with the Missoula Area Economic Development Corp. Charles holds a degree in Resource Conservation, Forestry, Climate Change Studies, and Economics from the University of Montana.
