Bethanie Thomas has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Bethanie started their career as a Team Leader at AMERICORPS in 1998 and then worked as an Assistant Director at Operation Weed & Seed from 1999 to 2000. From 2000 to 2004, Bethanie worked as a Management Analyst at Kent County. Bethanie then joined Deloitte Consulting in 2006 as a Manager, specializing in corporate and customer market strategy. Bethanie led teams to analyze and develop recommendations for critical client strategy and operations issues, focusing on industries such as philanthropy, technology & telecommunications, and consumer products. In 2012, they became a Partner and Global Functions Lead at Camber Collective, a strategy advisory consulting firm dedicated to social impact. In this role, Bethanie worked with various organizations across health, shared prosperity, climate and environment, and democracy and governance.

Bethanie Thomas obtained a BA degree in International Relations and Spanish from Grand Valley State University, where they attended from 1993 to 1997. Afterward, they pursued an MBA degree specializing in Corporate Strategy and Finance at the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, from 2004 to 2006.
