Darryl Hayes is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in water resource management and engineering. Currently serving as the Principal Engineer for the Delta Conveyance Office at the California Department of Water Resources since 2018, Darryl oversees engineering design for the multi-billion dollar Delta Conveyance Project. Previously, Darryl held the position of Supervising Engineer within the same office and managed the SWP Project Cost Branch, focusing on contract administration and project financials. Prior experience includes roles as Engineering Manager at Intake Screens, Inc., and Senior Technologist at CH2M HILL, specializing in fish passage and water intake structures, as well as earlier supervisory roles at the California Department of Water Resources and Caltrans. Darryl holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University.
