Julianne McCall currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at both the California Council on Science and Technology and the Journal of Science Policy & Governance. McCall is also part of the Leadership Team for the Science to Policy program at the University of California, Riverside, where responsibilities include co-instructing the Science to Policy Graduate Certificate Course. Previous roles include serving as Director and Co-Director of the California Initiative to Advance Precision Medicine within the Governor's Office of Planning and Research, and directing the "Brain Bee" International Neuroscience Olympiad. McCall has contributed to academia as a faculty member at the University of California, Davis, and has held consultancy roles, including with the California State Senate. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Heidelberg University, an MS in Biomedical Sciences from UC San Diego School of Medicine, and a B.S. in Neuroscience from Denison University.
