Patricia “Patty” Lovett, CPA, MBA, is a Partner in the Accounting & Financial Services division of Calibre CPA Group and brings over 30 years of experience to the firm’s Washington, DC office. Patty oversees a broad and varied client base comprised of tax-exempt organizations with both national and international presence, including faith-based institutions, labor unions, foundations supporting cutting-edge medical research, foundations supporting development of infrastructure in Africa and other sectors. She assists in formulating policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems that will maximize results for each entity.
Patty began her career at a large accounting firm as an auditor and then worked for 20 years as controller of a company that specialized in the ownership, management and deployment of custom automated teller machines (ATM) solutions for the hospitality industry. Since joining Calibre CPA Group in 2015, Patty focuses on best practices for her clients with respect to their accounting processes and procedures and participates in audit and tax return preparation and other compliance reporting for those clients. Patty uses a leadership approach that entails actively supervising, delegating, collaborating and leading by example.
Patty strives to develop and maintain long-lasting partnerships with all of her clients and Boards of Directors and is passionate about their missions.
She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Pennsylvania. Patty holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Rochester in New York. An active accounting industry professional, Patty is a member of national and local associations including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants.
