Cynthia Okafor serves as the Manager of the Racial Equity Office and Community Mobilizer Program at Calgary Police Service since June 2023, focusing on the implementation of the Anti-Racism Strategic Roadmap. Prior to this role, Cynthia spent over 17 years with the City of Calgary in various capacities, including EDI Consultant-HR, Partnership Specialist, Community Social Worker, Social Planner, and Youth Community Social Worker, emphasizing social well-being and community resilience. Earlier experience includes roles at Calgary Health Region as a Diversity Research Assistant and at Ethno-Cultural Council of Calgary as a Multicultural Broker. Cynthia holds a Master of Social Work from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Calgary, specializing in community development and social policy.
