Chris Nelson is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in marketing strategies and media. As the President of Chris Nelson Communications since August 2010, Chris develops proactive and reactive media strategies for clients. Chris also serves as a columnist and senior feature and travel writer for the Calgary Herald, contributing a weekly opinion column and features on notable Calgarians. Previous roles include member of the Boundary Commission for the City of Calgary, where recommendations were made on ward boundaries for the 2017 civic election, and Vice President of Marketing and Development at Fair's Fair, overseeing expansion plans for the book company. Earlier career highlights include serving as Vice President at Calgary Health Region, where Chris launched a new website, and as Editor in Chief and Managing Editor at Calgary Sun. Chris holds a Journalism Diploma from Sheffield College.
