Chief Engineer at Cal Poly Racing

Will Duncan is currently serving as Chief Engineer at Cal Poly Racing, responsible for establishing vehicle-level requirements and overseeing the technical development of the 2024-2025 race car. Previous roles include Suspension Overall Lead and Brakes Lead, where Will Duncan led teams in developing advanced suspension systems and reliable braking mechanisms. Concurrently, Will Duncan works as a technician at Cal Poly Machine Shops, assisting students with various manufacturing projects. Past internships at Tesla and Vision Products provided experience in dimensional engineering and part design, while previous positions at Cal Poly IME and Piazza’s Fine Foods showcased skills in student guidance and customer service. Will Duncan is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Cal Poly, expected to graduate in June 2025.
