Catherine Simard serves as Première directrice, Investissement durable at Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) since June 2019, where the focus is on developing and implementing the organization’s strategic directions in sustainable investing and integrating environmental, social, and governance considerations into investment activities. Prior to this role, Catherine occupied various positions at Norton Rose Fulbright from June 2007 to May 2019, including Directrice, Investissement durable and Avocate, specializing in corporate and securities law with an emphasis on corporate governance, advising Canadian public companies on disclosure obligations and governance issues. Catherine holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Business Law from The London School of Economics and Political Science, along with a Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.) and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from McGill University, and a DEC from Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf.
