Mark Zaleski is the current Vice President at Cahill Contractors, Inc. Mark has a long and varied history in the engineering and construction industry, having worked in both the public and private sector.
Zaleski began their career in 1983 as a US Naval Officer in the US Navy Civil Engineer Corps. Mark served in this role for six years before resigning from active duty and joining the US Navy Reserves in 1989. Mark served with a reserve unit in Alameda, CA and later became the company commander for NMCB 3 at Treasure Island, San Francisco, CA. Mark left the Navy Reserves in 1990 to join Cahill Contractors, Inc. as a Project Manager. Mark quickly rose through the ranks at Cahill, becoming an Estimator and then Preconstruction Executive. Mark left Cahill in 2012 to join Flour Daniel as a Construction Engineer. Mark stayed with Flour Daniel for one year before joining the Roman Catholic Diocese of Oakland as a Design Review Board member in 2010. Mark has been with the Diocese for nine years and is currently serving as Vice President.
Mark Zaleski received their Masters in Civil Engineering with a focus in Construction Management from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to that, they served in the US Navy as a Civil Engineer corps officer and attended the US Navy Civil Engineer Corps Officers School and US Navy Officer Candidate School. Mark also holds a BS in Civil Engineering from UC Irvine and is certified as a LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) by the USGBC - National Capital Region Chapter.
They work with Arash Baradaran - Vice President, Michael A. Grant - Chief Financial Officer, and Jeremy Bordi - Project Executive. Mark Zaleski reports to Kathryn Cahill Thompson, CEO.
