Head Of Asset Investment at Cadent Gas Limited

Matthew Goode has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Waiter/Bartender at The Limes Country Lodge while studying for their A levels. After that, Matthew joined National Grid as a Policy Administrator during the summer at university. Matthew then moved on to become a Design Analyst, where they worked on pressure problems within the network and coordinated the implementation of solutions. Matthew also took on the role of Project Delivery Officer in the CMAC department, focusing on improving customer satisfaction. Matthew continued their career at National Grid as a Project Supervisor (Graduate), gaining hands-on experience within the operational directorate of the business.

Matthew also assume responsibility in leadership roles, such as being the Chair and Deputy Chair of the Northern Branch at The Pipeline Industries Guild Limited, as well as being a PDN Representative for the Professional Development Network Committee at The Pipeline Industries Guild.

In their most recent position, Matthew Goode is the Head of Asset Investment at Cadent Gas Limited, responsible for making informed decisions to deliver efficient and cost-effective asset interventions across all operational asset types, as well as managing the asset investment plan for the GD2 price control.

Matthew Goode began their education at St Peter's Catholic Secondary School, where they completed their high school education from 2005 to 2010. Matthew then enrolled at St Peter's Catholic Sixth Form for their A-levels, which they completed from 2010 to 2012. Following that, Matthew attended the University of Liverpool from 2012 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physics.

Additionally, Matthew has acquired several certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. Matthew obtained the Project Fundamentals Qualification from APM in September 2017. In February 2020, they received the NEBOSH certificate from NEBOSH. Most recently, in October 2021, they obtained The IAM Certificate from The Institute of Asset Management.
