Duncan Abbot is a seasoned professional in product development and engineering, currently leading health system-related product efforts at Cadence since May 2021, focusing on EMR integrations and provider experience. Prior experience includes serving as Lead GSI at the University of Michigan, where coursework for ‘Electrical Engineering System Design 2’ was designed and taught. As a Research Engineer, significant contributions were made in developing a Virtual Reality sketching tool at the BIRDS lab and simulating repair robots for NASA. Additional roles include President & CEO of Gwydion, a virtual reality software company, and various teaching positions at the University of Michigan. Duncan holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering - Robotics and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Michigan.
