Antonio Hernandez-Matos has extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and information technology across various governmental and corporate roles. Currently a member of the "Tenerife Smart Island" Functional Unit and Head of the GIS Technical Service at CABILDO DE TENERIFE since December 2013, Antonio oversees territorial analysis and strategic decision-making processes. Previous positions include General Director at CANALINK, and multiple roles at CABILDO DE TENERIFE, including overseeing GIS systems and international cooperation projects in Senegal and Cabo Verde. Additionally, Antonio served as General Director of Telecommunications and Information Society for the Gobierno de Canarias, managing strategic ICT policies and investment projects. Antonio's career began with roles in system engineering and project planning in organizations including Mercedes-Benz España and Galileo, Ingeniería y Servicios, S.A. Educational qualifications include MSc degrees from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
