Timothy Swager

Timothy Swager is a prominent chemist and entrepreneur with extensive experience in founding and leading innovative companies in the field of chemical detection and technology. As the Founder of Fluorityx since June 2024, Swager focuses on PFAS detection at EPA-mandated levels. Swager is also a Co-Founder of Xibus Systems, C2Sense, Inc., and PolyJoule, Inc., contributing to advancements in their respective technologies. Since 1996, Swager has held various academic positions at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, including John D. MacArthur Professor of Chemistry and Director of the Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation. Swager served as the Associate Editor for the American Chemical Society's Macromolecules journal from 2010 to 2019 and was the founder of Iptyx from 2003 to 2009. Additionally, Swager co-founded DyNuPol, which was sold in 2022.
