Richard Postma is a highly experienced scientist in the bioprocessing field, currently serving as a Senior Scientist and DSP Specialist at Byondis since April 2020, following the company's transition from Synthon Biopharmaceuticals. Prior to this role, Richard Postma worked as a Process Technologist at Hosokawa Micron B.V. and CNC Grondstoffen, focusing on pilot-scale tests and technology development in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Richard Postma completed a PhD in Bioprocess Engineering at Wageningen University, where research focused on scalable protein extraction from algae. Additional educational qualifications include MSc in Biotechnology and a BSc in Biotechnology, both earned from Wageningen University & Research and Van Hall Larenstein Leeuwarden, respectively. Internships at Synthon and Merck Sharp & Dohme provided foundational industry experience.
