Janet Shackleton has held a variety of roles in the past few years. In 2018, they worked as a Food Server at Splash! On the Wharf and as a Sustainability Consultant & Marketing Intern at Allterra Solar. In 2019, they became the Shop Owner at Gosh Vintage. In 2021, they worked as a Food Server at Bantam. Currently, they are the Influencer Marketing & Social Media Manager and Influencer Marketing Intern at by Humankind.

Janet Shackleton graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies. Janet attended UC Santa Cruz from 2016 to 2020.
