Katherine Fugitt has over 25 years of experience in design and product development. Katherine began their career in 1992 as a UI Designer at Asymetrix, where they designed the UI and wrote the specification for 3D F/X, a 3D graphics and animation software. In 1994, they worked as a User Interface Consultant at Design Insights. In 2002, they worked as a Program Manager and UI Specialist at Stone Tablet Education, where they developed process and design specifications, wrote and created help pages, designed a corporate website, and assisted in creating a marketing plan and collateral. In 2008, they worked as a User Experience and Design Contractor at Adometry, where they were responsible for all user interface and graphic design, designed a company logo and business cards, and collaborated on a marketing plan and collateral. In 2010, they worked as a Graphic Artist at Eastside Preparatory School. In 2004, they founded Tempus Fugitt Designs, where they created the Tempus Fugitt Life Planner, a quarterly printed life planner with integrated self-coaching tools and worksheets, and assisted external clients with graphic design, branding, user experience design, web basics, writing and editing services. Since 2015, they have been the Director of Design and Product Development at Buttonsmith Inc., where they provide a wide variety of design services including product design, template design, packaging design, instructional design, design for manufacturing, creating UX resources for online customization of products, creating new graphic design options of existing products, identity/branding, and website graphics. Katherine has also created what may be the largest collection of narrow web art on the planet.
Katherine Fugitt received a MA in Cognitive Psychology from San Jose State University in 1991, a BS in Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in 1984, and a Certificate in Graphic Design from Bellevue College. Katherine also attended the University of Washington from 1994 to 1999, studying Education.
