David House began their work experience in 2011 as a Group Facilitator Intern at The Children's Room. David then worked as a Caseworker Intern at The Dimock Center in 2012. In 2013, they served as a Graduate Intern at Burlington Community Life Center and Emmanuel College. During this time, they also became the Director of Technology at the Psychology and the Other Institute. From 2012 to 2016, David worked as an IT Support Technician and IT Specialist: Learning Management Systems Migration at Harvard Graduate School of Education. In 2013, they joined Impinj as a Software Development Engineer in Test Intern, and later became a Software Development Engineer. David then moved to Harvard University, where they worked as a Software Engineer from 2017 to 2019. In 2019, they joined Harvard Business School Online as a Senior Software Engineer. In the same year, David also began working at ButcherBox as a Front End Engineer. David then progressed to roles such as Software Engineer, Technical Lead, Software Engineering Manager, and Principal Engineer at ButcherBox, where they played a key role in architecting ecommerce platforms, mentoring engineers, and driving full-stack alignment.
David House (he/him) has a diverse education history. David began with a Bachelor's Degree in Counseling from Lesley University, which they obtained between 2009 and 2013. Following that, they pursued a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor from the same university, from 2012 to 2016. In 2016, David obtained a Front-End Web Development Certification from freeCodeCamp. Additionally, they completed a Full Stack Web Development Nanodegree from Udacity in 2017. In terms of certifications, David has obtained several, including the Professional Scrum Product Owner I and Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org, which were obtained in September 2021 and August 2021, respectively. David also received the IBM Blockchain Foundation for Developers certification from Coursera in May 2018, and a Front End Development Program certification from freeCodeCamp in September 2016.
