Colin Yu has over 20 years of experience in the Information Technology field. Colin started their career in 1999 as an IT Consultant at Accenture, where they were responsible for analysis and implementation of common site navigation and persistent login experience for Netinsurance. In 2000, they joined Hewlett-Packard as a Senior IT Engineer, where they designed, implemented, and supported HP.com search platform. In 2008, they joined Business Solution Technologies as a Director of Information Technology, where they were responsible for horizontal technology assets (products, services and people) across BST. Noteworthy accomplishments include implementation of Amazon Web Services to expand hardware and software infrastructure for both BST and its clients. Colin also served as a Senior IT Consultant, where they were responsible for participating/leading development and support of custom HRIS at the Hawaii Department of Education. Major accomplishments include creating a online application framework that enables the HR department to source certificated and classified applicants, creating a streamlined mechanism for DOE to perform employee background checks, and improvement of system overall performance and architectural scalability.

Colin Yu attended McKinley High School from 1990 to 1994. Colin then continued their education at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in MIS and Accounting in 1999. Colin obtained their Certified Scrum Master certification from the Scrum Alliance in May 2014, their Oracle Certified PL/SQL Developer certification from Oracle in August 2006, and their Sun Certified Java Programmer certification from Sun Microsystems in July 2003.
