Project Manager at Business Performance Systems

Clarence Hawkins has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Clarence started their career in 2002 as a FileNet System Administrator at MarLaw Sys. Tech. Inc, where they managed the administration of files for USDA/CREES division. Clarence then moved on to Booz Allen Hamilton as a Senior Consultant, where they supervised the electronic document management database and led the Records Management Team.

In 2004, Clarence joined Amtrak as a Records/FOIA Specialist, where they managed the electronic record-keeping system and provided guidance on records management. Clarence then worked at Chenega Integrated Systems as a Records Specialist, providing ad hoc consultation and service for the EPA Superfund Records Management system.

From 2006 to 2008, Clarence worked at WATSON WYATT WORLDWIDE as a Records Management Analyst, creating new standards, policies, and procedures for their enterprise-wide SharePoint/Documentum repository. Clarence collaborated with IT to analyze business processes and managed records management projects and vendor relationships.

Clarence then joined Idea Integration as a Sr. Consultant/ECM Analyst in 2008, collecting requirements from organizations to build Enterprise Contents Management systems and building taxonomies for end users. Clarence also applied records policies to the systems.

In 2009, Clarence became the ECM Manager at Front Rowe Inc, where they managed and oversaw the implementation of enterprise content management system requirements and applied records policies. Clarence then worked as the Enterprise Content Management Program Lead at Liquid Web Design (Consultant) from 2011 to 2015, managing a large-scale IT imaging project for the state of Maryland.

Clarence's most recent roles include being a Project Manager at Business Performance Systems from 2016 to the present, where they manage day-to-day operations for the Enterprise Electronic Records Management project. Clarence also worked as a Project Manager at The Nolan Group, LLC. since 2015, managing a scanning and imaging project for the commercial real estate division with the Housing Urban Development agency.

Throughout their career, Clarence has shown expertise in project management, electronic records management, implementation of systems, and applying records policies.

Clarence Hawkins pursued their education from 2000 to 2005 at the University of Maryland Global Campus. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Management and a Certificate in Information Management. Clarence also completed a Certificate in IT Project Management from the same institution.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Clarence Hawkins obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute in April 2021.
